The 2ndrd NUSCT Rectors’ meeting took place on April 8, 2019, in Valletta, Malta, on the old campus of the University of Malta, as part of the 250th anniversary celebrations of the establishment of this university as a public institution.
The Network members ratified two multilateral exchange agreements for students and for faculty and non-teaching staff.
The new NUSCT logo was unanimously adopted.
NUSCT members also attended a talk on “Higher Education in the 21st Century and the Perspective of Small States”, by University of Malta professors Ronald G. Sultana and Godfrey Baldacchino, and a presentation on “Blockchain, Distribution Technologies, and Universities”, given by University of Malta Professor Joshua Elluldde.
NUSCT is a network led by the University of Andorra to enable universities in small countries that share similar characteristics and contexts establish collaborations, share strategies and best practices, and have a unified voice in international fora.
